Are you going through the difficult process of grieving the loss of a child? In this course we will give you some tools that will guide you to deal with this painful process. We will explore the stages of grief and the emotional impact it can have on each of us, the expected stages of grief, and the distinction between normal and pathological grief. We will analyze the various forms of grief and the uniqueness of each experience, as well as the associated behavioral, affective and cognitive alterations. You will identify protective factors for grieving and learn when it is appropriate to seek professional help. In addition, we will explore the dynamics of grief in family relationships, including partners, siblings and other children.
